Expedition Days are designed to ignite imaginations and challenge limits, while fostering a sense of community. Think of it as a swashbuckling adventure on two wheels, where the trails become your map and every turn holds a new challenge to conquer.
Every Expedition Day is part of the grand journey. The adventure starts as a team, as Rangers traverse the racecourse alongside their local teammates, echoing the trail riding experience at their local sessions.
But just like any great explorer, the challenges evolve as the journey unfolds. Subsequent Expedition Days take things to the next level, introducing more opportunities for individual discovery and personal achievement. Without realizing it, Rangers are mastering new skills and growing their confidence, one trail at a time.
From the first ride to the final adventure, the Trail Rangers program is like a treasure map with every practice and event leading to new discoveries and greater rewards. The best part? Rangers are learning and growing while having the time of their life!
HERE’S WHAT AWAITS YOU AT THE EXPEDITION…
SKILLS ZONE
Think of this as the Trail Rangers Obstacle Course! Skills are the fundamental basis of mountain biking, and we want our Rangers to have every opportunity to practice and hone their skills. When tackling the Skills Zone, Rangers will encounter a series of stationary obstacles and challenges that will test their slow-speed technical handling skills. Participating in this specially designed obstacle course will enable a Ranger to continuously refine their skills and improve on their personal best.
Participating in the Skills Zone at multiple Expeditions will earn a Ranger their Skills sticker badge.

Think of this as the Games Zone! Here, Rangers will play on and off the bike games with kids from across the state. Some games might be familiar, while others might be brand new, but all of them will be fun. This is an opportunity for kids to meet new friends from other Trail Rangers programs. It is also designed to build critical thinking and interpersonal skills…but we don’t have to tell them that because “meeting new friends” sounds much more fun than building interpersonal skills!
Participating in the Activity Zone at multiple Expeditions will earn a Ranger their Activity sticker badge.
Trail Rangers RACES
Yes, we will have some competition at the Expedition Days. We have designed fun, age-appropriate race courses that will be both challenging and thrilling for our Trail Rangers. These races are a natural extension of the trail rides local programs take during their practices; it is just that this version is timed! We believe in a racing culture that is competitive, fun, and safe.
